Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition trophy guide

Open your inventory.

1. Start a new world or load an existing one.
2. Press the inventory button (Square/Triangle) to open your character's inventory screen.
3. The trophy unlocks immediately upon opening the inventory.

Punch a tree until the block of wood pops out.

1. Find a tree in your starting area.
2. Hold down the attack button while facing the tree trunk to punch it.
3. Break the wood block until it drops as a collectible item.

Craft a workbench with four blocks of wooden planks.

1. Punch trees to collect 4 wood logs, then craft them into wooden planks in your inventory.
2. Open your crafting grid (2x2 in your inventory).
3. Place 4 wooden planks in a 2x2 pattern to craft a Crafting Table.

Use planks and sticks to make a pickaxe.

1. Place your Crafting Table and open it for a 3x3 crafting grid.
2. Place 2 sticks in a vertical column and 3 wooden planks across the top row.
3. Craft the Wooden Pickaxe.

Construct a furnace out of eight cobblestone blocks.

1. Collect 8 cobblestone blocks by mining stone with your pickaxe.
2. At your Crafting Table, fill the outer ring with 8 cobblestone blocks, leaving the center empty.
3. Craft the Furnace and place it in the world.

Smelt an iron ingot.

1. Mine Iron Ore from stone walls underground, usually found below Y=64.
2. Place your Iron Ore into the top slot of the Furnace with fuel (wood or coal) below.
3. Wait for the smelting process to complete and collect the Iron Ingot.

Use planks and sticks to make a hoe.

1. At the Crafting Table, place 2 sticks in the bottom two center slots.
2. Place 2 wooden planks in the top center and one side of the top row.
3. Craft the Wooden Hoe.

Turn wheat into bread.

1. Find and harvest Wheat from naturally generated plains villages or grow it yourself.
2. At the Crafting Table, place 3 Wheat items in a horizontal row.
3. Craft the Bread to unlock the trophy.

Bake a cake using wheat, sugar, milk and eggs!

1. Collect Wheat, Sugar (from Sugar Cane), Milk (from cows), and Eggs (from chickens).
2. At the Crafting Table, arrange them in the cake recipe pattern.
3. Craft the Cake to unlock the trophy.

Construct a better pickaxe.

1. Gather enough cobblestone, iron ingots, or diamonds for a better pickaxe.
2. At your Crafting Table, use 2 sticks and 3 of the better material in the pick recipe.
3. Craft a stone, iron, or diamond pickaxe to unlock the trophy.

Catch and cook a fish!

1. Craft a Fishing Rod using 3 sticks and 2 string, then stand near any body of water.
2. Cast the rod and wait for the bobber to sink, then reel in the fish.
3. Place the raw fish into a Furnace with fuel and wait for it to cook.

Use planks and sticks to make a sword.

1. At the Crafting Table, place 2 sticks in the bottom two center slots.
2. Place 2 wooden planks in the top two center slots (for a wooden sword).
3. Craft the sword to unlock the trophy.

Attack and destroy a monster.

1. Wait for nighttime or enter a cave where mobs spawn.
2. Approach any hostile mob such as a Zombie or Skeleton.
3. Kill the mob using any weapon or tool.

Harvest some leather.

1. Find a cow wandering in a plains or forest biome.
2. Attack and kill the cow using any weapon.
3. Collect the leather item it drops to unlock the trophy.

Use a saddle to ride a pig, then have the pig get hurt from fall damage while riding it.

1. Find a pig and right-click it with a Saddle to mount it.
2. Use a Carrot on a Stick to steer the pig toward a cliff or high area.
3. Guide the pig off a ledge high enough to take fall damage.

Befriend five wolves.

1. Find wolves in the Forest or Taiga biomes.
2. Approach each wolf and right-click it with a Bone to tame it.
3. Tame 5 different wolves to unlock the trophy.

Construct one type of each tool (one pickaxe, one spade, one axe and one hoe).

1. Open your Crafting Table and craft a wooden or stone pickaxe.
2. Craft a shovel using 2 sticks and 1 plank.
3. Craft an axe and a hoe using the same materials to complete the set.

Construct a Dispenser.

1. Gather 7 cobblestone, 1 redstone dust, and 1 bow.
2. At the Crafting Table, fill the outside ring with cobblestone, place bow in center, and redstone below.
3. Craft the Dispenser to unlock the trophy.

Construct a Nether Portal.

1. Mine at least 10 Obsidian blocks using a Diamond Pickaxe from lava pools.
2. Arrange 10 Obsidian in a 4x5 frame (hollow rectangle) portal shape.
3. Use Flint and Steel to ignite the bottom interior blocks of the portal frame.

Kill a skeleton with an arrow from more than 50 meters.

1. Craft a Bow using 3 sticks and 3 string and equip arrows.
2. Find a Skeleton enemy at least 50 meters away.
3. Fire an arrow and kill the Skeleton from that distance.

Acquire diamonds with your iron tools.

1. Dig down to Y-level 15 or below where diamond ore generates.
2. Equip an Iron Pickaxe (or better) as wood and stone cannot mine diamonds.
3. Mine a Diamond Ore block to unlock the trophy.

Destroy a Ghast with a fireball.

1. Enter the Nether and locate a Ghast flying in the lava areas.
2. When a Ghast fires a fireball at you, time your hit to deflect it back.
3. Hit the fireball with your hand or a sword to send it back into the Ghast.

Relieve a Blaze of its rod.

1. In the Nether, locate a Nether Fortress (large dark brick structures).
2. Find and kill a Blaze mob which spawns near Blaze spawners inside the fortress.
3. Pick up the Blaze Rod it drops to unlock the trophy.

Brew a potion.

1. Collect a Blaze Rod from a Nether Blaze and craft a Brewing Stand.
2. Place Water Bottles in the bottom slots and a Nether Wart in the ingredient slot.
3. Wait for brewing to complete to create your first potion.

Enter an End Portal.

1. Gather at least 12 Eyes of Ender by combining Blaze Powder and Ender Pearls.
2. Throw Eyes of Ender into the air to follow them toward a Stronghold underground.
3. Place Eyes of Ender in all 12 End Portal frame blocks to activate the portal.

Kill the Ender Dragon.

1. Enter the End Portal found in a Stronghold underground.
2. Navigate the End island and destroy all Ender Crystals on top of obsidian pillars.
3. Kill the Ender Dragon circling the central fountain to unlock the trophy.

Construct an Enchantment Table.

1. Gather 4 Obsidian, 2 Diamonds, and 1 Book.
2. At the Crafting Table, place Obsidian at the corners and bottom row, Book at the top center, and Diamonds in the middle sides.
3. Craft the Enchantment Table and place it in the world.

Deal nine hearts of damage in a single hit.

1. Enchant a weapon with Sharpness V or use a powerful potion to boost attack.
2. Find any enemy or mob and land a single hit with your enhanced weapon.
3. Deal 9 hearts (18 HP) of damage in one strike to unlock the trophy.

Build some bookshelves to improve your enchantment table.

1. Craft 15 Bookshelves using 6 wooden planks and 3 Books each.
2. Place your Enchantment Table in the center of your room.
3. Surround it with at least 15 Bookshelves within 2 blocks and line-of-sight.

Discover 17 of 40 biomes.

1. Explore your world by traveling far from spawn in all directions.
2. Look for different terrain types: ocean, desert, jungle, tundra, swamp, mesa, etc.
3. Visit and discover 17 different biomes to unlock the trophy.

Breed two cows with wheat.

1. Find two adult cows in the same pen or small area.
2. Hold Wheat in your hand to attract them into love mode (hearts appear).
3. Feed both cows wheat to trigger breeding and produce a calf.

Throw diamonds at another player.

1. Obtain at least one Diamond item (ore or gem).
2. Join a multiplayer session with another player on your world.
3. Drop the diamond item at another player's feet to unlock the trophy.

Cook and eat a pork chop.

1. Kill a pig to collect Raw Porkchop.
2. Place it in the top slot of a Furnace with fuel in the bottom slot.
3. Wait for cooking to finish, collect the Cooked Porkchop, and eat it.

Kill a creeper with arrows.

1. Equip a Bow with Arrows and find a Creeper enemy.
2. Before the Creeper comes within explosion range (roughly 3 blocks), shoot it.
3. Kill the Creeper with an arrow without it exploding.

Acquire 30 Emeralds by trading with villagers or mining.

1. Find a village and interact with Villager traders.
2. Trade items with Villagers to earn Emeralds, or mine Emerald Ore in mountain biomes.
3. Accumulate 30 total Emeralds through mining and trading.

Craft and place a Flower Pot.

1. Collect 3 Clay Balls from river or lake bottoms and smelt them into Bricks.
2. Craft a Flower Pot using 3 Bricks in a V-shape at the Crafting Table.
3. Place the Flower Pot anywhere in the world to unlock the trophy.

Craft and place a sign.

1. Gather 6 Wood Planks (any type) and 2 Sticks — both can be crafted from wood.
2. Open a Crafting Table (3x3 grid) and fill the top two rows with Wood Planks, then place Sticks in the bottom-center two cells.
3. Collect the Sign from the output slot of the crafting table.
4. Place the Sign in your hotbar, then aim at any block surface and press Square to place it.
5. The trophy unlocks as soon as the sign is placed in your world.

Stop starvation using Rotten Flesh.

1. Let your hunger bar deplete until it is nearly empty.
2. Find Rotten Flesh dropped by Zombie enemies.
3. Eat the Rotten Flesh while hungry to avoid starvation and unlock the trophy.

Use Shears to obtain wool from a sheep.

1. Craft Shears using 2 Iron Ingots placed diagonally at the Crafting Table.
2. Find a Sheep wandering in a plains or forest biome.
3. Right-click the sheep with the Shears equipped to collect wool.

Gather all 16 colours of wool.

1. Shear white sheep and dye the wool with all 16 dye colors.
2. Alternatively, find naturally-occurring colored sheep or dye live sheep.
3. Collect one block of each of the 16 colors of wool.

Swim in lava while having the Fire Resistance effect.

1. Brew a Fire Resistance Potion: combine Nether Wart and Magma Cream in a Brewing Stand.
2. Open your hotbar, select the Fire Resistance Potion, and drink it (press Square).
3. While the Fire Resistance effect is active, jump directly into any pool of lava.
4. The trophy unlocks the moment you enter lava under the active potion effect.
5. Tip: collect Blaze Powder in the Nether to fuel your Brewing Stand.

Smelt wood trunks using charcoal to make more charcoal.

1. Place a Furnace and add wood logs as fuel in the bottom slot.
2. Wait for the logs to burn and collect the Charcoal produced.
3. Use that charcoal to fuel the Furnace and burn more logs.

Play a music disc in a Jukebox.

1. Find a Music Disc dropped by Skeletons or from dungeon chests.
2. Craft or find a Jukebox using 8 wooden planks and 1 diamond.
3. Insert the Music Disc into the Jukebox to play music.

Create an Iron Golem.

1. Collect 36 Iron Ingots to craft 4 Iron Blocks (9 ingots each).
2. Carve a Pumpkin from a Pumpkin block using Shears.
3. Place 4 Iron Blocks in a T-shape and set the carved Pumpkin on top.

Wear a full suit of Iron armour.

1. Mine Iron Ore and smelt it into Iron Ingots.
2. At the Crafting Table, craft an Iron Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, and Boots.
3. Equip all four pieces of Iron Armor at once.

Cure a zombie villager.

1. Find a Zombie Villager and prepare a Splash Potion of Weakness.
2. Brew Weakness using Fermented Spider Eye and Gunpowder in a Brewing Stand.
3. Throw the potion at the Zombie Villager and right-click with a Golden Apple.

Gain the trust of an Ocelot.

1. Travel to a Jungle biome and find an Ocelot.
2. Hold Raw Fish in your hand and stand still while the Ocelot approaches.
3. Right-click the Ocelot with Raw Fish to tame it into a cat.

Spawn the Wither.

Kill the Wither.

Create and fully power a Beacon.

Eat a Notch Apple.

Dye all 4 unique pieces of Leather Armor.

Bounce 30 blocks upward off a Slime Block.

Win a public Battle mini game. [Editions Only]

Win 3 public Battle mini games in a row. [Editions Only]

Take 100 damage in a round of a public Battle game. [Editions Only]

Play for 100 days.

1. Start a survival world and play consistently over multiple sessions.
2. Each in-game day lasts 20 minutes of real time.
3. Survive 100 in-game days in a single world.

Mine 1,728 Cobblestone and place it in a chest.

1. Craft a Chest using 8 wooden planks and place it in your base.
2. Mine stone blocks with a pickaxe, which drops Cobblestone.
3. Fill the chest with 1,728 cobblestone blocks (27 stacks of 64).

All trophies have been awarded.

1. Complete every other trophy in the game.
2. Explore the Overworld, Nether, and The End dimensions.
3. Unlock the last remaining trophy to earn the platinum.
